The update comes roughly six months after the release of the open-world title set in a near-future. Ubisoft rolled out the online multiplayer game mode for Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. When Watch Dogs: Legion does log on with its new multiplayer modes, players will be able to continue to explore the entirety of embattled London and build their own DedSec team of unique operatives, but they can be joined by up to three other friends (each with their own teams) to battle against oppression together. Watch Dogs: Legion Online changes a lot of the Ubisoft release's gameplay with new co-op and PvP multiplayer modes.
This isn't a bad thing, but fans of online play may come away disappointed.įortunately, Ubisoft has already announced plans to launch a dedicated online experience later this year in a completely free update, opening up new ways to play either by yourself or with up to three of your friends.

Developer and publisher Ubisoft has announced that Watch Dogs: Legion’s multiplayer component has been delayed to 2021. Ironically enough, there is a Watch Dogs multiplayer mode perfectly suited to public sessions: the Invasions that encouraged you to blend with NPCs while hacking data from a player in the open world. Originally set to arrive this December, fans will have to wait a bit longer to team up with friends. The game launched in October, but without any of its online/multiplayer modes. Taking the mayhem to London, players went on a mission to clear Dedsecs name after being blamed for a terrorist attack. Watch Dogs: Legion is the third installment in Ubisoft’s open-world hacking franchise.
